Employees Like It
Yes, it's true - people really enjoy doing our training. Here's why:
It's not threatening
It won't remind you of school! Many people have bad memories of the classroom, and they don't like being reminded of it. - Because people work individually in our training, they can ask their tutor a question at any time, without the fear of looking stupid.
- Our training is paper-based - so people don't have to get used to computer technology.
Help is always available
- We use a combination of face-to-face tutoring, telephone helplines and email to make sure that any questions or uncertainties can be ironed out quickly - without confusion arising.
It's flexible
- By using workbooks, we allow individuals to work at their own pace.
- People fit our training around their own work schedules - they don't have to be in a particular place at a particular time.
- Most of the modules can be delivered as distance learning courses - so the training can be wherever is most convenient.
They get a recognised qualification once they've completed a course.
- We award certificates under the Open College Network. This is real recognition of the skills and knowledge that the person has gained from our training.
- Awarding a qualification demonstrates the training is important - and also shows the trainees that their work is taken seriously. This improves staff morale, and boosts involvement in infection control programmes.
Our training sticks
- Because they like doing the training, employees get more out of it. They take notice of it, and they remember what they've been taught when they get back to the day-to-day routine.
'Yours to have and to hold...'
- The employee's workbook is theirs to keep - so it acts as a portfolio of the course material. It's there to dip into for a reminder at any time, and can be taken with them should they change roles.
- And once they're back doing their usual day jobs, it's easy just to check back to the workbook - to make sure they're doing the right thing, every day, every moment.
